Rate Rules
What Gets Charged Before The Hire Starts And After It Comes Back
Minimum HireOne day for collection. Two days for delivered plant.
FuelFuel goes out full and comes back full. Refuelling is pump cost plus £12 handling.
Deposits£100 for hand tools and compaction kit. £250 for dumpers and diggers. Reduced or waived for approved trade accounts.
IDPhoto ID and proof of address are required on the first hire. Trade accounts can open after two paid hires.
CleaningKit should return reasonably clean. Mixers must be rinsed. Set concrete or excessive mud is charged for cleaning or parts at cost.
DamageDamaged teeth, punctures, bent handles and lost keys are charged at cost, with photos sent before invoicing.
Mick Keeps Talking About The U17
The Small Digger That Saves More Arguments Than It Starts
Mick would rather send the Kubota U17-3 than a machine that looks impressive and then spends all morning stuck at the gate. It is a 1.5 tonne class mini digger, but the retractable tracks let it get through tighter access than most people expect. That matters in Doncaster terraces, side paths in Bessacarr, older drives in Balby and garden work where the customer still wants a lawn afterwards.
It normally goes with a grading bucket and a sensible digging bucket set. For drainage runs, footings, soakaways, fence lines and mucking out old patios, it is enough machine without chewing up the whole job. If you need reach across a ditch, heavy demolition or a driver supplied with it, this is not the answer. The yard is self-drive only and Mick will say so before you spend money.
His usual line is simple: if the U17 cannot get the job moving, a bigger machine may not fix the real problem. It may just make the access damage dearer.
